Linux & Android
Appreciation
Android is maintained by a heavily growing community. It provides very useful hints - in my case for integrating a T-Mobile G2 touch into an existing Linux desktop environment. Graceful I can apprecitiate this community at least by naming some of the corresponding links:
- offers the Android system itself as open source
- http://www.android.com/
- the main Android site
- http://androidcommunity.com/
- is a commercially initiated and maintained communication platform offering several services like a forum etc.
- is a site which is describing the scene of Android smartphones. Contains also a forum
- http://mobilewebexperience.com/
- may be taken as official voice of the company iDoctor and provides an survey on different aspects of the mobile web - not exclusively concerning Android
- http://www.android-hilfe.de/
- is a private site and provides a set of fora for discussions concerning the Android OS of Google
- http://androidandme.com/
- is a commercially maintained information platform apparently based on advertising
- http://www.androidtapp.com/
- offers useful Android app reviews and showcases
- http://www.androidpit.de/
- offers test reports of new Android applications
- androlib.com/
- another potential site offering description ands reviews of Android apps
